Lyla's Story
Born at just 23 weeks and 6 days and weighing only 1 pound, 3.8 ounces, Lyla faced a long road ahead. She spent 122 days in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at Marshfield Children’s Hospital, growing stronger as she developed her lungs, learned to eat and gained weight.
Throughout Lyla’s NICU stay, her care team supported and educated her family, while philanthropy-funded technology like NicView cameras helped them stay connected, even when they couldn’t be by her side.
Today, Lyla is a healthy, happy girl who loves her kitten, painting and running outside. Her remarkable strength has carried her far, and today she proudly represents Marshfield Children’s Hospital as the 2026 Children’s Miracle Network Champion.
